ChatGPT is a natural language processing tool that permits human-like conversations through chat features on a website. This new tool launched on November 30, 2022, by OpenAI. It is powered by AI technology that can answer follow-up questions, along with assisting users with tasks such as composing emails, essays, and code; it can also reject inappropriate requests as well.
ChatGPT has been the talk of the business world this year and it shows no signs of stopping either. It has been mentioned on earnings calls by management of major companies in the oil and banking industry. As mentioned before, this AI tool has the capability of carrying human-like conversations and has the ability of understanding intended tone and messages through text. Unlike other AI language processing models, ChatGPT has 175 billion parameters and is one of the largest and most powerful processing models to date. By January, ChatGPT reached 100 million monthly active users only two months into its launch, making it the fastest-growing consumer application in history.
Of course, this system is still based off 2021 information and is still in its research and feedback-collection phase, but the potential of this system is truly unlimited. Tech giants are expecting that ChatGPT will be the precursor to much more advanced AI systems.
